Aerodromes (EP 1)


  • Non-controlled aerodrome,  CTAF 127.35
  • Avgas available. Air BP 24-hour cardswipe bowser. Check ERSA. 
  • Busy regional aerodrome with mixed traffic: RPT, Air Ambulance, charter ops, gliders, private and training flights.
  • Runway 35 right-hand circuits, permanently.
  • Can attract morning fog in autumn & winter. 
  • AWIS available on 02 9353 6404 or VHF 133.25 
  • Part of Great Dividing Range. Elevation 2435ft 
  • Cross strip – 08/26 natural surface
  • Due to grades on RWY 17/35, opposite ends of the runway are not visible when taking off. Radio calls advisable.
  • Intensive gliding operations 7nm west of aerodrome – check ERSA
  • Increased gliding and powered aircraft activity during regular cadet camps every school holidays. Check NOTAMs.

  • Opal mining town. Mine tours available, opal galleries and showrooms, photographic gallery. 
  • Visit Jock’s place. Just do it.

Goodwood Station

  • 90,000 acre working sheep station
  • Natural strip approx 18/36; NOT all weather strip
  • Prior permission required.
  • Strip may not suit all aircraft. Discuss with owners.
  • Power line 380m north of RWY 36
  • Shearers quarters available
